ARDIE ANZOLA - Worked a long time in the three year old room and then was asked to help with a challenged child in Sunday School occasionally thereby making her a floater to other rooms when needed.  Ardie has one daughter and came to Gainesville 17 years ago from Venezuela but is originally from Pennsylvania. She is fluent in Spanish and has been a para-pro in Enota Elementary School for the past 15 years.  Ardie translates for kindergarten and first grade.  Ardie has been at FBC nursery for 4 years and is always eager to fill in for special occasions and work on Wednesday nights.

 

HAZEL BURRISS - Works in the one year old room on Sunday.

A retired school teacher, Hazel lives in Gainesville with family and has worked in the FBC Nursery for the past 16 years.  Hazel has seen many of our children pass through the nursery and become adults.  In her free time, Hazel loves to play bridge and takes advantage of the senior trips offered by the church.  Hazel works on Wednesday nights and will work all hours available in the nursery

 

SARAH CROWE - Works in three year old room with Kay on Sundays

Sarah worked and managed the FBC kitchen for many years and still helps out on busy days.  Her interest in the nursery came last year when we were looking for good, reliable staff.  Sarah filled the bill.  Sarah is gentle, patient and wonderful with the children.  She is knowledgeable of the church special functions and always eager to help during extra hours.

 

KAY DEFOOR - Works in the three year old room on Sundays

Kay is originally from Atlanta but living in Gainesville since 1972.  Kay has four grown children and three grandchildren.  Kay has worked at Enota Elementary School for 24 years as a para-pro for kindergarten and first grade.  Her love for working with children is evident in our nursery on Sunday and Wednesday nights.

 

AMY JONES - Works in the four year old room on Sundays

Born and raised in Gainesville, Amy is married 30 years and has one daughter in college.  Amy has worked as a kindergarten teacher in Lyman Hall School and a pre K teacher in Joyland nursery.  She has subbed in many other Gainesville schools and is now enjoying Sunday mornings in the FBC nursery with the grown up four year olds.

 

DELFINA LUSSIER - Works in the two year old room on Sundays

Delfina came to Gainesville three plus years ago from Phoenix Arizona where she taught pre K for five years.  She presently works as a kindergarten para-pro in Lyman Hall School in Gainesville.  Delfina is married and has one daughter. For the past two years Delfina has worked with us on Wednesday nights as well and enjoys the warmth and kindness of First Baptist Church parents and children.

 

LISA MANISCALCO - Works in the baby room on Sundays.

Lisa came to the nursery out of need one day when we were short of help.  Amazingly has found it to be a comfortable enjoyable place for her.  Lisa loves the babies and also enjoys relating to the 2 and 3 year olds by reading books, playing games and taking time to talk and explain things to them.  Lisa has taken on the responsibility of being second in charge by knowing the nursery function inside and out.  She helps with the purchasing of supplies, maintains all the toys with batteries, repairs anything broken, maintains the beepers and is generally my right hand person.

 

LINDA PLANTS - Our newest employee, who right now is floating to all age groups to become familiar with all our children, lives in Gainesville with her 9 year old son. They both recently returned from Uganda, East Africa where she worked for 7 plus years in bible study fellowship with BSF.  Linda is eager to actively interact with the parents and children of FBC nursery.  Linda's parents and brother attend First Baptist Church.

 

SARAH REMILLARD - Works in the crawler room on Sundays

Sarah became know to us through her mom who worked in the FBC kitchen services. Sarah is married and has two step daughters.  She is presently employed as a day time nanny to two young children.  Sarah is active and energetic with the crawlers and really can get down and play on Sunday mornings.  In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughters and her pet German Sheppard.
