The Committee on Committees is pleased to announce the nomination of Johnny Johnson as Chairman of the Pastor Search Committee (PSC). The congregation will have the opportunity to vote on this nomination on June 7, 2026.
Johnny and his wife, Lisa, have been faithful members of First Baptist Church Gainesville for over 30 years. During that time, they have demonstrated a deep commitment to both our church and the broader community, raising their family here and investing faithfully in its ministry. Many of you know Lisa from her time serving as the Head of the Day School.
Johnny has a long history of service within the church, having served on numerous committees and previously as Chairman of the Deacons. He is currently active as a Trustee, serves on the Legal Committee, The Constitution and Bylaws Committee, and leads and teaches in the Covenant Sunday School class, continuing his dedication to discipleship and spiritual growth.
